| Preregistration -- How It Works |
| |
This preregistration system
is based on driver's license state and driver's
license number. (Why?)
It is critical that you enter this information correctly.
If you make a typo the first time, you'll have to enter it
the same wrong way if you want to change or delete your entry
later. If you don't know what your mistake was, your entry
will be "lost" and you won't be able to delete it or sign
up for that number again because the "wrong" number will have
it reserved.
Due to site constraints, we have a normal entry limit of
50 cars. If the event reaches the entry cap, additional preregistrations
will be automatically added to a waiting list. If any slots
open prior to the close of online preregistration (usually
Thursday midnight prior to the event), entries on the waiting
list will automatically move up to fill those slots. Therefore,
if you have preregistered for an event and decide that
you will not be able to attend, please "unpreregister"
yourself to open your slot for the next person on the waiting
list. If you are on the waiting list, you should check
back on Friday or Saturday morning to see if you have moved
off of the waiting list and into the event.

| How To Sign Up (Preregister) for an Event |
top |
 |
If you're a THSCC member with a permanent number and...
|
|
|
you don't have changes to make to your permanent number information:
1. enter your driver's license information,
2. select the event for which you want to preregister, and
3. click the Submit Pre-Registration button.
4. Enter the event passcode if prompted to do so, and click OK. |
|
|
|
you do have changes to make to your permanent number information:
1. enter your driver's license information,
2. enter only the changes that differ from your permanent number information,
3. select the event for which you want to preregister, and
4. click the Submit Pre-Registration button.
5. Enter the event passcode if prompted to do so, and click OK. |
|
The information from your permanent number file will be used to fill in the rest of your preregistration entry. Note: Don't forget to change your permanent number entry if your information on file (e.g. residence, phone number, email address) changes. |
|
 |
If you are not a THSCC member or you are a THSCC member who has not signed up for a permanent number...
|
|
|
1. fill out the preregistration form (fields
with a red asterisk (*) are required),
2. select the event for which you want to preregister, and
3. click the Submit Pre-Registration button.
4. Enter the event passcode if prompted to do so, and click OK. |
|
If you've filled out the information correctly and the class/number you chose has not already been reserved, you will be given that class/number combination.

| How To Update Your Event Entry Information |
top |
| If, at some point before online preregistration closes (usually midnight on Thursday prior to the event) some of your entry information changes (for example, if you will be driving a different car and/or want to change your number), you should go to the Preregistration page... |
|
1. enter your driver's license information,
2. enter your changed information only,
3. select the event for which you are changing the information, and
4. click the Update Existing Entry button. |
As long as the change you made doesn't include a class/number change that will conflict with an entry already in the preregistration or permanent number files, your requested change will be made to your event entry as soon as you click the Update button.
|
|
| How To Delete Your Event Entry ("Unpreregister") |
top |
| If, at some point before online preregistration
closes (typically Thursday or Friday evening prior to
the event) you decide that you won't be able to run the
event, you should "unpreregister" yourself from
the event to free up a slot for the next person on the
waiting list. Go to the Preregistration page... |
|
1. enter your driver's license information,
2. select the event from which you want to be removed, and
3. click the Delete Entry button. |
| Your entry will immediately be removed from the event. Be aware that, if your situation changes again and you decide to re-preregister, your entry will be added to the bottom of the file, not back into the original location before you deleted it. |
