For this event we return to our great Four Oaks site, and
event chairs Christine Allen and Keith Vail have got something
a bit new for you- tall grass! The course is mowed wide, but
on the sides the height of the grass and weeds varies from
about 18" to 36" or more! Course walking and visualization
will be more important at this event than at any previous
THSCC rallycross, as there will be places where you simply
can't see what's around the next bend.
Now you real rally drivers needn't fret, as we will
be providing complimentary stage notes to
free you from the need to figure anything out for yourself...
Those of you who'd like to see what rally codrivers
do are welcome to try also, but your codriver must be
a registered entrant. Work that out as you'd like. BTW,
use of stage notes will not be required, and they may
not even help- we're just trying to have fun here!
Please note that this event is on a Sunday,
instead of our usual Saturdays. Of course you are still welcome
to show up on Saturday- bring gloves, and don't expect to
drive.
And just a reminder, but we are back to our Street
Tires Only policy for this event and the rest of
the events this season. We are seriously considering
allowing them next year, however, so keep your eye on this
site for updates!
Additional info: According to our rallycross VP, "Christine
is working on some sort of randomly-awarded prizes from Chili's"
and "Christine will be grilling burgers and hot dogs"
($5 gets you a meal consisting of: a hamburger or 2 dogs,
a bag of chips, a soda or water, and a dessert). So make sure
you thank Christine when you see her! FYI, she'll be the chick
kicking your ass in a silver 2.5RS...
Online registration is highly encouraged and can be found
here.
Directions to the site are here.
See you there!
