For our fourth event of the
season, we will be back out at our great Four Oaks site. Event
chairs Vincent Keene and Ryan Holton are sure to put on a fine
event!
For those of you who were at the August event in Rockingham,
this site is much less sandy, however ruts do
still develop fairly quickly. So again we will be allowing
Street Tires only in order to preserve the course
conditions as long as possible.
Our Street
Tire definition has recently been liberalized so almost
any all-season car tire is acceptable. Note, however,
that many truck and SUV tires will still be deemed too aggressive.
As before, snow tires, rally tires, and other knobby
tires are explicitly excluded.
NOTES:
- The site is immediately adjacent to the owner's house,
so our good behavior everywhere on her property, including
her driveway/access road, is critical to
our continued use of this great site. Please help us make
this event a success!
- Camping will be permitted at the site Friday night before
the event. Please contact
Kevin Allen and let him know if you are interested.
The environmental policy will be "leave no trace"- please
respect that. There will be 1 porta-john on site, however
the water situation is not yet known. If you want to camp,
plan to bring enough water for your overnight needs in addition
to what you'll drink on Saturday.
- Brenda and Christine will again be making hamburger and
hotdog lunches (including chips, drink, and dessert) available
for a modest price. Thanks! :-9
