OK folks, let's try this again! This event will take place in a field owned by one of our members' mothers, near the junction of I-40 and I-95. This is a very large field, flat with almost no elevation change, and very smooth. This is a great and safe site to give rallycrossing a try!
We plan to have all competitors make 6 runs, running the course 3 times in each direction. Final scores will be the total of each competitor's runs, as opposed to using the single best time, as in autocross.
Since this is our first time at this site, and since it will be held right next to the owner's house, we want to make extra
sure we are invited back! Consequently, we will be imposing several restrictions
for this event to make sure it goes well. In the future we hope to lift some of these restrictions:
- Street Tires Only! - No rally, snow, or all-terrain tires will be permitted. See the Rallycross Class Rules for our definition of what a "street tire" is!
- 50 car entry limit.
- THSCC members in good standing only. Depending on how quickly the event fills up, we may allow preregistered members to invite one non-member guest, if they can vouch for the guest's character. We will keep you posted on this.
Again, we will be guests driving around on this woman's field, right next to her home, so our good behavior everywhere on her property, including her driveway/access road, are critical to our continued use of this great site. Please help us make this event a success!
