| Rally Preregistration -- You Gotta Know How It Works!
This is important information!! Please read it carefully.
|
| |
| After carefully reviewing this page and attempting the desired action using the instructions below, if you are having a problem, please contact Carl Fisher for assistance or to report your problem.
This preregistration system is based on driver's license state and driver's license number. (Why?) It is critical that you enter this information correctly. If you make a typo the first time, you'll have to enter it the same wrong way if you want to change or delete your entry later. If you don't know what your mistake was, your entry will be "lost" and you won't be able to delete it or sign up for that number again because the "wrong" number will have it reserved.
THSCC is committed to making our events be as fun and safe as possible. Therefore, some THSCC events may have site, personnel, or other types of limitations that may necessitate restricting the number of entries for the event. If limitations exist, a passcode provided to members via the club newsletter is required to preregister usually until two weeks prior to the event date. This gives THSCC members first chance to fill the event. When the passcode restriction is removed (usually two weeks prior to the event date), any remaining entry slots may be filled by non-members.
If an event entry cap is required and the online preregistrations reach the cap, additional preregistrations will be automatically added to a waiting list. If any slots open prior to the close of online preregistration (usually Thursday midnight prior to the event), entries on the waiting list will automatically move up to fill those slots. Therefore, if you have preregistered for an event and decide that you will not be able to attend, please "unpreregister" yourself to open your slot for the next person on the waiting list. If you are on the waiting list, you should check back on Friday or Saturday morning to see if you have moved off of the waiting list and into the event.

| What You Can Do on the Rally Preregistration Page |
|
|
| How To Sign Up (Preregister) for an Event |
top |
To preregister for a rally,
1. fill out the preregistration form (fields with a red asterisk (*) are required),
2. select the event for which you want to preregister, and
3. click the Submit Pre-Registration button.
4. Enter the event passcode if prompted to do so, and click OK. |
If you've filled out the information correctly and (if car numbers are required for preregistration, the class/number you chose has not already been reserved), your prepregistration will be entered. If you have omitted a required field or there is some other problem with the information you entered, you should be presented with information about your error. Correct your error and try Step 4 above again.

| How To Update Your Event Entry Information |
top |
| If, at some point before online preregistration closes (usually midnight on Thursday prior to the event) some of your entry information changes, you should come back to the Preregistration page... |
|
1. enter your driver's license information,
2. enter your changed information only,
3. select the event for which you are changing the information, and
4. click the Update Existing Entry button. |
As long as the change you made matches the field requirements (or, if class/numbers are a required field, doesn't include a class/number change that will conflict with an entry already in the preregistration file), your requested change will be made to your event entry as soon as you click the Update button.
|
|
| How To Delete Your Event Entry ("Unpreregister") |
top |
| If, at some point before online preregistration
closes (typically the Thursday evening prior to the event)
you decide that you won't be able to run the event, you
should "unpreregister" yourself from the event
to free up a slot for the next person on the waiting list.
Go to the Preregistration page... |
|
1. enter your driver's license information,
2. select the event from which you want to be removed, and
3. click the Delete Entry button. |
Your entry will immediately be removed from the event. Be aware that, if your situation changes again and you decide to re-preregister, your entry will be added to the bottom of the file, not back into the original location before you deleted it. |

| How To Pay for Your Event Entry Fee Online |
top |
|
THSCC requests that you please pay your rally entry fee using the provided PayPal link. PayPal allows you to pay by using your PayPal account, your credit card, or an electronic bank check; so you don't have to have a PayPal account to pay via PayPal. Paying via PayPal greatly reduces the time and hassle involved with on-site registration for both you and the event registrar(s). Everyone, including the event staff, is here to have fun and your help in making it a little bit better day is appreciated.
How to Pay: After you click the Submit or Update buttons (and enter the passcode if prompted to do so), you will be presented with a preregistration confirmation screen. On this confirmation screen is a PayPal button. Use this button to pay your event entry fee via PayPal. Please use the provided PayPal button so that your identifying information (such as name and the event for which you are paying) will automatically be populated into the payment.
How to get a Refund: If you pay for a rally via PayPal and later determine that you can't make the event, you can get a full refund of your event payment by notifying a THSCC Rally V.P. Please note that you must contact the Rally V.P. yourself; a refund will not automatically be issued to you just because you did not check in at the on-site registration. |
