| After a detailed historical analysis and many ponderous meetings, THSCC will be using FIXED-CLASS RUN GROUPS for all future 2-run-group/4 heat autocrosses:
GROUP 1: (runs 1st)
All Stock classes, TIR (Street Tire), X (formerly PRO), and
LAD (Ladies indexed) |
GROUP 2: (runs 2nd)
All non-stock classes (SP, P, M, STR, STS, SM) |
| |
If you registered as NOV (novice), you will run with your
Group 1 or Group 2 class shown above. |
Why are we doing this? Increased event participation means that we need to cut all available slack out of our day. There should ALWAYS be a car on course, from 10:00am until the last run.
Here's what YOU, as a competitor MUST DO to help:
SIGN UP FOR YOUR WORK HEAT AT REGISTRATION. There will be a signup list to put your name on. Arrive at registration early if you want to get an early work assignment! You must still see the worker coordinator for placement when you report to work. |
If you will be working first, COME TO THE DRIVERS' MEETING READY TO GO OUT TO WORK! Have your water, hat, and sunscreen with you. |
If you will be driving first, PRE-GRID YOUR CAR ANYTIME BEFORE THE DRIVERS' MEETING. Come to the drivers' meeting ready to drive as soon as the meeting is over. |
PRE-GRID YOUR CAR IN THE PROPER GRID LINE. If you will be working the heat immediately after your runs, pre-grid your car in Grid Line A. |
When it's your turn to run, MAKE SURE THE CLASS AND NUMBERS ON YOUR CAR ARE CORRECT FOR YOU. Improperly marked vehicles means Scoring cannot identify who is on course. No identification by Scoring = no recorded time for the run. |
Looking at recent event statistics, these groupings typically result in less than a 10 car differential between run groups. Questions, comments, concerns? Please email one of the Autocross V.P.s.
