Mike Whitney and Rob Harvey bring you "dis is da BIG
ONE" at old Sanford Airport for some good old-fashioned
heart-pounding adernaline-charged
autocross action. We're planning a big loop with frigteningly
fast offsets
and lurid sweepers so be sure all your meds are up to date.
Our apologies
to Mr. Foxx.
Please be on your best behavior at Sanford! It is a wonderful
site which is
close to many of us, and we want to keep using it forever.
Be very
considerate of the site owners -- speed limit on all access
roads is FIFTEEN
MILES PER HOUR. Pick up your trash and the trash of others
and take it home
with you. If the motorcycle training is going on on Sunday
please do not
distract them.
Novices: Please
read the FAQ and everything under the "You oughta
know about" link on the main page. Extras for the Novices:
- Get to the site early!!
- Get your cars emptied and teched.
- Be at the 9:30am Mandatory Novice Meeting on time.
- Get to the site early enough to get several course
walks in before the Novice Meeting.
Food: No food will be provided at the event,
so you might want to bring your lunch or plan to visit one
of the fine establishments just up the road.
General Info:
- Get to your worker station on time so we can keep this event
running. If
we finish early or on time, we may get fun runs!! (We'll have
to check with
this event's GMs to see if we can run.)
- Workers have to check in at the Work Coordinator's table
in between heats in order to get credit for your runs. If
you work but don't check in, your times are trashed and
you'll receive a DNW for the event.

- Sign the waiver form and place the arm band on YOUR LEFT
WRIST ONLY;
- Everyone on site must sign the waiver and wear a wristband
NO EXCEPTIONS
Car Tech: Have your car ready to tech so
you can run the event. The Starter WILL be checking to make
sure you have a tech sticker.
Run Groups:
Run order: G1-G2-G1-G2
Group 1 = Stock, TIR, and X -- including NOV and LAD entries
in those
classes
Group 2 = everyone else
Group 1 should grid cars BEFORE the driver's meeting.
Remember to grid in lane A if you are working Heat 2.
EVERYONE SHOULD -- Mark Your Car Properly!!!
If you do not have magnetic letters and numbers for your car,
please...
Print Your Numbers
and
Print Your Class
for BOTH SIDES of your car. Bring your preprinted paper class
and numbers to
the event along with and tape to affix them, and make sure
they are securely
affixed to BOTH SIDES of your car before it's time for you
to run. Todd is
the head of Scoring and will beat you if you don’t have
your car marked
properly. Or worse, yes it can get worse, you'll end up with
no run times
for the day!
See you there! |
