| This will be a pretty laid back event given that one of the co-chairs spent nine days in a Topeka hotel. Fortunately, he didn't chip his teeth on the barrel of a shotgun and will be ready to defend his Top Gun trophy. David Spratte and Wes Eargle have penciled in the services of a legendary course designer, too, which should ensure that the event is fun for all.
Runs: The best run counts from either day towards season points. If you can make it both days, that's great, but it doesn't punish the people that can only make it one day.
Food: We are planning on grilling burgers and hot dogs Saturday after the event, so please bring an appetite and your own BEvERages to kick back and relax onsite Saturday.
Water: Bring some; no, BRING LOTS. Even though this is fall in Danville, you can ruin a fun day driving by getting dehydrated!!
Trash: Make sure you take your own trash home and, be a good person--if you see some trash that's not yours, pick it up anyway and take that home, too.
General Info:
- No wandering and exploring the site. Stay within the general area of the autocross event. We want to be able to come back and use this venue!
- Please get to your worker station on time so we can keep this event running.
- Workers have to check in at the Work Coordinator's table in between heats in order to get credit for your runs. If you work but don't check in, your times are trashed and you'll receive a DNW for the event. Sad.
- Make sure you have your car properly marked and classed. If you don't have numbers, PRINT YOUR OWN CLASS LETTERS AND NUMBER from here.
- Sign the waiver form and place the arm band on YOUR LEFT WRIST ONLY; not your right wrist, belt loop, or back of your hat. The Starter will want to see your arm band as you pull up to the line to make your first run. Without your arm bands, neither you NOR your passenger will not be allowed to run.
Car Tech: Have your car ready to tech so you can run the event. The Starter WILL be checking to make sure you have a tech sticker. No techie, no runnie.
Run Groups:
Run order: G1-G2-G1-G2
Group 1 = Stock, TIR, and X -- including NOV and LAD entries in those classes
Group 2 = everyone else Group 1 should grid cars BEFORE the driver's meeting.
Remember to grid in lane A if you are working Heat 2. |
